First saw on lookbook here: http://lookbook.nu/look/1650256-Bipolar-soles

Update: I FINALLY found these lovelies. They are Michael Antonio Tibor and are available on a multitude of websites. Currently Endless.com seems to have the most selection of sizes and colors.

Siriano Shoes

I own two pairs of Christian Siriano shoes for Payless, from two different collections... most notably the towering talon heeled number from SS 2010 that are so very McQueen-esque. So when I saw his runway collection for SS 2011 I was super excited to see how the retail versions would come out.
Overall I am underwhelmed. While the inspiration is there I really wish they would have stuck closer to the runway models. I am sure it has to do with the target market of Payless... but what about us fashionistas that want the real thing?! I want that sculpted, curved heel!

Flatforms...

There are many trends that we see on runways that never really make the leap into the general public... and I hope that these flat platforms are one of those. I just think they are ugly and clunky. I don't care who makes them. PASS....

Shoe Stalking

On Sunday I tuned into the Grammy's to catch a few performances (most notably Lady Gaga's) and found myself obsessively stalking a pair of shoes. Specifically the ones worn by Gwyneth Paltrow in her performance with CeeLo of F*ck You. The performance was fun and sounded great, and both CeeLo (in his crazy turkey getup) and Gwyneth looked fabulous. But the show stopper for me were the shoes. Thankfully The Possessionista came through with the ID: Christian Louboutin (who else!) Futura Retro Colorblock Booties from his Spring 2011 line. Yum!

Spring vs Fall

I know we are in the middle of Fall 2011 NY Fashion Week but at the same time all I can think about is the new spring lines coming out in both editorials and in stores. A few of the looks that keep popping up that strike my fancy come from Lanvin. I love the colors, the flowy fabric, and leather details... not to mention the one shoulder silhouette.
